Audio Transcripts

If you have your audio file, send us an email with the file attached, send it to us using our secure upload server below, or use DropBox or Hightail to get it to us, and we'll get it transcribed by one of our experienced and accurate reporters.

Why should a human transcribe your audio file? Aren't artificial intelligence systems just as good?

No. Unlike artificial intelligence, human transcription is completed with real people who listen to an audio file and convert it to text. When choosing humans for transcription accuracy, you’ll get far more accurate results. Why? Humans are capable of understanding more than artificial intelligence. Because of this, artificial intelligence programs have a very large margin of error and have difficulty understanding different accents and dialects. A simple New York accent could throw off the entire transcription. While an artificial intelligence program can be taught to understand accents and dialects, it takes a human to teach it, and with accents differing from person to person, even in the same neighborhood, that technology is a long way off. Having a human being with highly trained ears, reasoning skills, and experience in transcribing makes a large difference in the accuracy of the transcript.

So won't just any human do?

No. Not if quality, accuracy and integrity matter. Court reporters are universally recognized as neutral Officers of the Court who render transcripts that are regarded as the official record.

When a United Reporting court reporter transcribes audio files of hearings, meetings, mobile device recordings, dispatch calls, call center recording, sworn testimony and the like, their transcripts contain their officially notarized court reporter certificate that sets out their independence and neutrality and role as an Officer of the Court.

The court reporter’s recognized and respected role in the judicial system, coupled with their unparalleled expertise in transcribing the spoken word, results in the highest quality transcription available, and a finished product that is generally accepted on its face as an accurate, neutral, certified transcript.
